Created from the Perpetual Reserve and the oak-aged reserve wines, complemented by the finest successes of the 2018 harvest, Collection 243 is tied to Louis Roederer's Champagne roots and the foundations of their Reims-based Champagne House. They give themselves the freedom to create the blend on the basis of whatever Nature provides.
The wine showcases a bright, golden hue with persistent bubbles. Its rich bouquet features ripe yellow fruits (mirabelle plum), sweet citrus (lemon meringue pie), and jasmine, evolving into smoky notes. On the palate, it is deep and structured, with a fleshy mouthfeel from the Pinot Noir balanced by refreshing salinity and a hint of bitterness, blending the strength of Pinot Noir with the elegance of Chardonnay.
